Biography

W. Luo received the B.Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with First Class Honours from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2010. He obtained the PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2015.

He was a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University and worked on rumor source estimation in social networks. He joined Micron Semiconductor Asia in 2015 as PIE-PYE Senior Engineer, and has been working on developing various big data algorithms and applications for yield enhancement. Extensive statistical modeling and machine learning has been used for network clustering and visualization, anomaly detection and feature selection. His current research interest are in statistical learning using big data.

Dr. Luo was awarded the Best Student Paper Award at the 46th Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers, California, USA. As the first author, he has published nine papers on IEEE journals and international conferences.
